Agh so today was overall a good day 'till I decided I need to figure out my life! As you all know I had 2 interviews this morning! Which went really well actually, my first interview was at 9am in N. Sioux City at a company called Alorica, they are a 3rd party customer service for Gateway and Cingular...well now AT&T (geesh will they make up there minds already! So the 1st interview went extremely well, and it was something new because we had a groupd interview, usually consists of 15 people but only 4 of us were for today! So we got the usual tour, and WOW is that place HUGE they don't have a lot yet but are expanding, they are in the old gateway factory building i think in Sioux City lol you cant miss it cause its painted like a cow! Anyways moving forward, I figured I get there earlier so I arrived a lil after 8:30am not knowing that my interview was 2 hours long! WOW what a doosy...After leaving the interview I was very unsure about work because they don't have flexible work schedules, they give you a schedule and thats what YOU have to work with or if that shift doesn't work you have to find someone to switch with. So this causes a problem for schooling because I'm going to school part-time this year but my classes are in the morning. The interviewer basically was very honest and said basically you have to choose between work and school. Well I thought maybe i could handle this if get lucky and get a good shift. So anyways I left unsure about this job.
Off to the next job interview, which is in Dakota Dunes at 1st Financial Bank, I applied for a Collections specialist job, which I would love to have to some exent. Again the interview went pretty good was a little more tense for this one, but the Interviewer was very nice and she said she liked having me cause I actually ASKED questions! But again the scheduling is a huge conflict! They only have 3 Shifts available...and all shifts either start at 8am or 11am...which is a HUGE conflict since right now im taking classes Mon/Fri 11-12 and Tues/Thurs 9:30-1pm SOOO I either have to figure out a new class schedule or not work there....
So to destress a lil from my interviews I went and ate chinese with some of my friends in Sioux City, which was nice....After that the stress really begun to kick in! I NEED a job, and I want a decent one at that matter. Well I get back to Vermillion and I get a phone call from Alorica, Offering me a full-time position! But with the way things are going right now I had to tell her I have to think about it....Soo here I am stuck figuring out how am I going to make this work...She sent me a schedule of what most shifts consist of...at alorica they have 37 total different shifts, but for what program i would be working with would be 22 different shifts...Soo I;m thinking, "geesh something has got to work" So I'm looking and reading and NOTHING I got noting! U can work 4 times a week or you can work 3 days 12hr shifts....and you guesses it the only time I could work there and it would work with my schedule Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm or Mon thru Fri 4pm-1am or Tue thru Sat 5:40-2am or Sun-Thur 5:30pm-2am
That's 4 shifts out of the total 22 shifts that would work with my schedule that means I have an 18% chance of actually getting one of those shifts!!!! And wow would I really wanna work that late at nite, especially when doing school! Soo I'm having a hard time here...I can either try to change my schedule for school, or drop another class, but do I really want to do this!!! I mean it is a good paying job and I do need a job!
But on top of this also is that Training would start asap and you can't miss a day of training which lasts for a month...hmm think about it...my 21st birthday is the 14th which is during the week and training is at 7am-2:45pm...hmm doubtful that I will be up at 7am the next day after my b-day...Soo I have consequences on that! But that is the least of my worries, it just adds to it a little!
Anyways I'm rambling so much and this is almost like my own personal journal right now. I haven't heard anything from 1st Financial Bank but I probably won't 'till next week. But if anyone has any advice, let me know!
Well Geesh its 5:30 and I feel like I'm ready to go to bed already! Geesh I think I'll be sleeping at 9 tonight...ZzZzzz

hey, i know i just got off the phone with you, but yea...too bad you won't be able to come, but we'll see you in a few weeks anyway. Have you thought of maybe applying at maynards in akron? with all the kids going back to school, they might need some help? Just a thought. Anyways, good luck to your continuing search or deciding which is better for you....but if you'd like my advice...don't drop any classes, b/c if you drop a class here and then a class there, then you'll end up having to go to school an extra semester...do you really want to do that? okay well, enough of my big sis talk! Gee Katie, you stress me out just reading about it and I already heard it from you on the phone. Don't worry about it too much; something will work out for you. In the meantime, don't forget you owe me rent:)! Love you! Oh sorry you don't need anymore stress!
