Do you remember me??

Ha, is that not a good title for this blog! I know at Thanksgiving everyone was saying how much I need to blog again sine its been since like what August or September since I have the last time! What can I say I've been pretty busy. So I finally had time to just sit down and blog today, Since I don't have class this morning. Let's see not alot of updates have been happening lately...The usual of going to school and still working full time at my job I got in August. I must say I really enjoy it, except the fact i have to drive there which cost money cause you know how gas is! So in the end I was thinking I'm going to make a good profit, but instead I'm cutting it close with bills! So now I'm in the search for a new apartment thats cheaper and better than the one Im in now. I have discovered a couple weeks ago That my apartment north wall and south walls like to get moist..If you know my aparment I really don't have installation they are cylinder bricks or something sooo since I;m never here i leave my heat off cause I dont want a huge bill to pay, and when i get home its cold so i turn it on and then my walls sweat...which if i don't catch then turns to mold...which it has pretty bad this last week. Mom and Emily came over and helped me clean it up, and if only I didn't clean it up before also they would have seen how bad it was....No wonder why I have been getting sick lately....So you think that if i went to the landlord they could do something about it but noooo he tells me i need to leave my heat around 69/70 soo if it gets too cold it will kick on...or put like a fan on it or something...well did that...and hmm **looks at wall** Its still wet...I have cleaned it up 3 times last night and im about to do it again rite now! So We'll see what happens with that....NEWAYS besides that everything has been going alright, overstressed sometimes but at the same time its reality setting in for me needing to make some sort of income to get by!

I don't have alot of time for friends, which I think they are quite dissappointed in me but yet they know that this is a pritority...So I'm trying to make time! But its the holiday's and I wanna go see my family instead when I have days off!

But I did have some time to do a Lil christmas decorating! I'm excited cause its MY FIRST Tree in my own place!! Soo of course I got some pictures :) Take a Look!!

Coming to Realize

I'm coming to realize that, I'm going to be very busy....but I'm hoping I'm not going to wear myself out. Working full-time job is way different, I mean I really have only had part-time jobs in the past...working a 40 hour week is def. a change of pace for me and you can add about 5-6 hours of driving tack on the 40 of working. I actually really enjoy my job or maybe I enjoy it cause I know I am going to make good money for my age. It's very repetitive but anyone could probably tell you that if they work on phones. I'm very lucky that I've only had a couple calls where the customer has gotten angry because of something that he should just have read before he called us. Now I know how the teleservices people feel! Although my job is imbound not outbound, thank gosh! Otherwise I don't think I would like it. It's amazing how many people just call in and then expect us to tell them everything about the card...well yes I understand we still need to sell it, but we can't be on the phone with each customer for 15 mins each tryin to explain all the details, because they DO have all the information in front of them! I think they figured if we wait 10 secs to give them our "instant decision" button instead of reading right when we get it...it would cost of 70,000 missed customers each month to our 3rd party vendors! Isn't that crazy!? well neways enough about that....

I just started my first classes at USD today. I decided to move back to part-time for school and STAY there at least for this semester. Working 40 hours a week, and at nights really takes away alot of time to do school work. So I'm taking business stats and Calculus and then my online class of Accounting II...wow thats alot of numbers and math! Should be interesting! But I'm up for the challenge! Other than school and work nothing has been going on. It's great to see my friends back here! I def. missed them and Hopefully i can make enough time to see them and hang out this semester! We have a couple times already and it feels good to be around my close friends again!

Bad news...I've been feeling a lil under the weather, i think it's just my immune system trying to tell me "Whoa Katie, what are you doing to me!? I'm not use to all this" cause really I didn't do much this summer and now here I am working 40 hours and school on top of it, and my sleeping pattern is all messed up!!!

hmmm what else can i say...on random...anyone listen to Imogen Heap, maybe you heard the song "Hide and Seek" well neways, just one of my new fancies, very relaxing music to my ear. But I'm off to bed, got class in the morning and then I'm going to work for 4 hours tmr afternoon since I really don't have anything else to do!!!

Busy busy

Hey its been awhile since I've blog...you all might be thinking "well katie did just turn 21, she's prbly out being crazy!" well actually no i havent! But I did enjoy my birthday, I ended up going up to Mitchel South Dakota with some friends to meet more friends, we ended up getting a hotel room and went out to the bars for the night and had a little after party....I actually did NOT get drunk, my friends took me out to eat and I actually got sick from the food and was in no mood to drink that nite, but I was still forced to have a couple!! But I must say that I did go out at 12:01am right when I turned 21, and I remember everything but that was prbly the night I celebrated the most! So I came back weds and kind of caught up on sleep cause I knew I was having some other college buddies come over for the weekend to hang out for my birthday....Although I didn't know they were going to stay the whole weekend, but it was still alot of fun! I went out on friday nite to the bars and it was a good time! It's weird pulling out my NEW license thats blue (if ur not from SD, when ur under 21 your ID is red and when u are 21+ its blue) soo I finally got mine on Friday soo I totally used it that night without having to point out my birthday! Soo we stayed up late that night (go figure) and the next morning we didn't sleep in that long...soo i was sleep deprived, but that didnt make me go to bed earlier the following night...bc well I was up til 4am this time hanging with one of my good friend that we needed some catching up to do on life! Now the problem in all this was I wanted to get ahead of myself and go to bed at like 11 on saturday and wake up early sunday morning, to prepare myself for my 1st day of work which was on Monday(20th).....well ya...i had about 10 hours of sleep this weekend and then Sunday night I didn't get to bed early enough still and i had to be up at 6am...if u know me...umm I dont get up at 6am! Thank goodness I only had to be up this early one time!

Soo yes, I have started my job at First Premier Bankcard, and so far I really like it, and everyone is soo nice and the atmosphere is amazing! I'm currently have completed 3 days of training which consists of working from 10am-6:30pm....I will continue this till the 31st and the I start my first shift on the 2nd!! Im soo pumped!! But Im hoping I don't wear myself out!!!!! Right now I'm choosing to go to school full time (12credits) and work full time Sun(11am-7pm) Mon-Thurs(3pm-11:30pm)....We'll see how it works but I already know that tuesdays and thursdays are prbly going to be my a crabby days! lol I go to class from 9:30-1 and then work from 3-11:30pm... remind u it takes 1/2 hour to get to work!!! I know I am crazy! But I need a job and the money but i also want to be in school and getting done still at a decent time!!! I will def. keep an open mind and def. watch myself so I don't get burnt out! Okay well this is getting way to long and detailed!!! Soo I'm gonna go, but I promise I will make time again to blog about my progress at Premier...I'm happy to call myself a 1st premier bankcard employer! :)

23 hours left

its 1am on august 13th...i technically have 23 hours left till i am 21!! cause u know at 12:01am i am 21 lol...I'm so excited, so excited that im still unsure what im going to be doin!! But i think im gonna go camping this weekend with a bunch of friends, old and new! im def. excited!

Ahh its gonna be crazy, but not too crazy!! It's not like much goes on, on a tuesday! But then the 15th i told mom that her and dad can take me out to this steakhouse called Whimps, its outside of vermillion and ppl have told us before that its a good place, so i told mom thats where we better go and check it out!!! the comment she makes "are you gonna be ready" and i said in response..."mom I don't plan to get too drunk, so I should be recooperated by then"....hopefully!

Anyways im off to bed cause its late and i need my sleep soo im ready ;) hehe!!

Mind Boggled...

Wow...I just got done watchin the Number 23, a movie with Jim Carrey....Has anyone seen it?! Well if so did you feel mind boggled?! It's a great movie but it made me think of all these numbers! And kind of making me crazy!!! lol well not really. It intrigue me so must I have been browsing the internet and what are like all these things about the number 23, like events that happened or deaths, just pretty much anything...This movie is awesome and Jim Carrey I think does an amazing job, it's def. a switch from seeing him in comedies to this thriller! I don't know this movie just makes me think to much! It's has a great plot and I didn't expect it to unfold like it did! I am a number freak sometimes soo now I am probably going to play with this for awhile. Haha well I def. found some things so check it out, its pretty interesting...there are so many things out there but these ones are pretty easy explanation i guess...In the movie they talk about alot of things equaling 23 like something with the color pink(i cant remember) or his name meant 23...Its crazy i must say! Soo you should check this movie out if your into that kind of stuff i gues that stuff would be called Numerogoly.

A long time coming!

Ah! So i figured I would blog to you all (the ones that read) about what has been going on. For the past how many blogs I've been writing about having job interviews, I had two last friday that I thought I would enjoy but the hours were not working with my schedule, I was offered a position at Alorica but I am going to have to turn it down, no call back from 1st financial Bank, but the hours there were pushing me to get out of class and get on the road to work so I don't think I would have liked that! So with those 2 jobs not looking good I had to keep looking, but I always had in the back of my mind, "I need to go to 1st premier bankcard" Jon used to work there for awhile when he was in college and he seemed to enjoy it. But I signed-up for a profile over a year and 1/2 ago. So when trying to access this profile I couldn't remember my password, and it wouldn't let me set up a new account! So I remember that they had walk-in interviews on Weds from 9am-4pm (which was today) and Figured well I'll just go there and then fill out the application on site. I get there around 1:30pm today and it took me another 1/2 hour to figure out how to start the application because I still couldnt create an account or get into my past one...Obv. I asked for help right away, but the lady who was workin the desk was just a temp while the other lady was on break...ya...she wasnt much help! Finally she got someone to help and at about 2 i started filling out the application!
After that It was just time to sit and wait.
I'm going way off track and being very detailed but i have to mention just this one thing...when i was waiting a lady came out and was acting all professional while the interviewer walked her out, but as soon as the interviewer walked back in, the lady jump with joy saying she got the job and was SOOO excited! I was like wow! congrats! She was all excited cause she didnt have to start work till the 20th which meant she could still go her trip to Cabo! lucky her!!! Soo before she left she gave me some friendly advice to just be yourself and that they are soo nice and everything....

So Finally it was my time to be interview! I never been through an interview like this before! I was with probably 4 different people! But it was also nice getting to know people I was going to be working with. So finally the last lady was the head hancho of the department and she basically offered me the job! Which YAY Im excited about, I told her I would confirm tomorrow! DUH of course Im gonna take the job! Its a great environment and I actually got to sit in on some calls which was actually pretty exciting..Its pretty well scripted and you stare at a computer and about 95% of your work day is being on the phone with a customer. Something I will def. have to get used to! Also they have good benefits which i dont know all of them for sure, but they have PLENTY of incentives also where u can range from $500-1000 a month plus ur regular pay! Unforuntely the hours to come at a price and I will have to get use to them! I work Sundays 11-7pm and then Mon-thur 3pm-11:30pm But the joys of working sundays and night is that I get a dollar more an hour...hmmm soo I'm making $10.51 an hour!! BOOYAH!!! Soo neways with all this details, I did get offered the job and I will confirm tomorrow, and all i got to do is pass all the pre-employment tests and I'll be good!! YAY:) ohh and i also don't start till the 20th of august soo that means no conflict during my birthday! Soo i better enjoy my free-time while i can!!

Well anyways I noticed that I like being very detailed in everything I tell you guys! But hey whatever I'm just soo excited I got a job!! WOOT WOOT! Well I'm off to bed now!!! I get to go shopping with Mama tomororw :)

Stressing out!!

Agh so today was overall a good day 'till I decided I need to figure out my life! As you all know I had 2 interviews this morning! Which went really well actually, my first interview was at 9am in N. Sioux City at a company called Alorica, they are a 3rd party customer service for Gateway and Cingular...well now AT&T (geesh will they make up there minds already! So the 1st interview went extremely well, and it was something new because we had a groupd interview, usually consists of 15 people but only 4 of us were for today! So we got the usual tour, and WOW is that place HUGE they don't have a lot yet but are expanding, they are in the old gateway factory building i think in Sioux City lol you cant miss it cause its painted like a cow! Anyways moving forward, I figured I get there earlier so I arrived a lil after 8:30am not knowing that my interview was 2 hours long! WOW what a doosy...After leaving the interview I was very unsure about work because they don't have flexible work schedules, they give you a schedule and thats what YOU have to work with or if that shift doesn't work you have to find someone to switch with. So this causes a problem for schooling because I'm going to school part-time this year but my classes are in the morning. The interviewer basically was very honest and said basically you have to choose between work and school. Well I thought maybe i could handle this if get lucky and get a good shift. So anyways I left unsure about this job.

Off to the next job interview, which is in Dakota Dunes at 1st Financial Bank, I applied for a Collections specialist job, which I would love to have to some exent. Again the interview went pretty good was a little more tense for this one, but the Interviewer was very nice and she said she liked having me cause I actually ASKED questions! But again the scheduling is a huge conflict! They only have 3 Shifts available...and all shifts either start at 8am or 11am...which is a HUGE conflict since right now im taking classes Mon/Fri 11-12 and Tues/Thurs 9:30-1pm SOOO I either have to figure out a new class schedule or not work there....

So to destress a lil from my interviews I went and ate chinese with some of my friends in Sioux City, which was nice....After that the stress really begun to kick in! I NEED a job, and I want a decent one at that matter. Well I get back to Vermillion and I get a phone call from Alorica, Offering me a full-time position! But with the way things are going right now I had to tell her I have to think about it....Soo here I am stuck figuring out how am I going to make this work...She sent me a schedule of what most shifts consist of...at alorica they have 37 total different shifts, but for what program i would be working with would be 22 different shifts...Soo I;m thinking, "geesh something has got to work" So I'm looking and reading and NOTHING I got noting! U can work 4 times a week or you can work 3 days 12hr shifts....and you guesses it the only time I could work there and it would work with my schedule Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm or Mon thru Fri 4pm-1am or Tue thru Sat 5:40-2am or Sun-Thur 5:30pm-2am

That's 4 shifts out of the total 22 shifts that would work with my schedule that means I have an 18% chance of actually getting one of those shifts!!!! And wow would I really wanna work that late at nite, especially when doing school! Soo I'm having a hard time here...I can either try to change my schedule for school, or drop another class, but do I really want to do this!!! I mean it is a good paying job and I do need a job!

But on top of this also is that Training would start asap and you can't miss a day of training which lasts for a month...hmm think about it...my 21st birthday is the 14th which is during the week and training is at 7am-2:45pm...hmm doubtful that I will be up at 7am the next day after my b-day...Soo I have consequences on that! But that is the least of my worries, it just adds to it a little!

Anyways I'm rambling so much and this is almost like my own personal journal right now. I haven't heard anything from 1st Financial Bank but I probably won't 'till next week. But if anyone has any advice, let me know!

Well Geesh its 5:30 and I feel like I'm ready to go to bed already! Geesh I think I'll be sleeping at 9 tonight...ZzZzzz

The Project

It's 1am...And I'm just about to crash. The reason why....

Yesterday(tuesday) I wasn't really doing much of anything because my car wasn't able to get fixed, I drove to remsen and found out the windshield the guy had wasnt the right size, so I was in remsen for a couple hours and then I came back to Vermillion. So when I got back I didn't know what to do with myself so I figured hmm...I should paint those thingys me and mom bought when I first moved into my apartment...what are those thingys you might ask....well these lil thingys!
Mom and I went garage saling back in May when I got my apartment and came across 2 pieces of furniture that I think we're put in a lil girls room. This is one of them, which I am using as my dresser



Its pretty spacious



Then this one I used for awhile in my closet in the kitchen for shelving...But decided to buy something else for shelves and use this in my living room for spaces for my school books and other randomness...as you can see I already started to paint this...it was also that off pink color....



Soo i started painted that last one yesterday but stopped because I got distracted with something else (go figure)....Soo today I was determined to get this done! So around 5pm I finally got to it...(it would have been earlier but I looked in the fridge and noticed I didn't have any food, so i had to go grocery shopping) Soo finally...I got to it...and yup it took me till about 12:30am to get it all painted dried and then put the doors and drawers back in! I'm pretty proud at how well they look and im happy with the colors (thanks to my sister, and of course lil allison picked them out too)We chose a chocolate brown and then a light blue or maybe its a light teal? lol but anyways here's the outcome!!







Soo I am happy to say that I have finised my 1st project for MY place! Yay for me! Hmm now what else can I paint!!!

Hmm I wonder what I'm going to do tomorrow! I'm ready for Friday to roll around, so I can go to my interviews!! I'm not nervous yet, just excited!

Okay now it's getting way to late, so I am going to go to bed now! Hope everyone is having a good week!!

So my last blog I talked about how I have been looking for a job and been applying to places this past weekend. Well today Monday arrives and I got 2 phone calls. One phone call from 1st Financial Bank and another from a company called Alorica! 2 jobs that are in Sioux City, I have interviews with them on friday! So I'm def. excited about this! I really would like to get the job at 1st financial bank because it would be working as a collections specialist and I hear that starting pay for at least customer service is $10.25/hr plus benefits since I'll be working full time, and this fall I am only going to be going to school part-time Alorica is a customer service based company dealing with customers with wireless phones to computers to so many other products. I really don't know if I would like that, and with 1st financial I could get possibly advancement and it could be a bright future for me there. So everyone wish me goodluck for friday! And who knows I might be getting more phone calls this week from other places I have applied!
Well I suppose I better get to bed I got to get up early and head to Remsen to get a new windsheild for my car!!

Oh and congrats to lil Allison who crawled for the 1st time! I hope she crawls more and more. I hope I get to see her soon!!!!

Nite Night

Oh I don't know what to title this!

Hey everyone! So it's Sunday night and I'm just chilling in my apartment. Tonight I decided to make it my night, after not doing a whole lot today I decided to keep going with being relax so I took a bath and after a bath I curled up on my futon and put the movie Premonition in. Anyone seen it? If not I think it's an amazing movie I saw it in the theater and I'm pretty sure I was crying pretty hard by the end..It's one of those movies that I think teaches you to realize what you have because at any moment in time you can lose that someone/something. I def. liked watching it again because I started to pick out little things that you wouldn't notice the 1st time you watch it! So if you haven't seen it, see it. Some people didn't like it, but I did! So i enjoyed my night to myself and I thought hmm..I should write a blog before I go to bed..Well as we all know...nothing is going on...life with me is pretty slow right now! I'm actually really excited for school to start back up again, maybe not for the classes (which will keep me busy) but to be around my college buddies!! I tell you it's pretty boring living in vermilion during the summer cause its DEAD! I'm currently unemployed which is nice sometimes because i have a lot of free time, but being broke is really setting in. After having discussions with my parents I figured I better get back on the search for jobs and filling out more applications or even applying to places again! So for the past 2 days I've filled out how many applications that I have begun to forget where I have applied!! Soo I am hoping to be receiving phone calls on Monday or sometime this week to come into a interview!! Other than that I really don't know what to write about!! Maybe when school starts back up and friends are around all the time I will have more to talk about! But for now...you all will have to sit patiently ;) hehe

Well here's something exciting i turn 21 in 23 DAYs!!! Now that's something I'll have to write about!! I must say I'm pretty excited and can't wait to have a good time! Well now I'm off to bed! Monday Monday Monday

So my lovely little vacation has past, and I realized that when I came back to my apartment on Sunday, coming back to a HOT apartment and then retrieving mail to only receive bills after bills! (while before this I was thinking WOO I have money i want to shop) Well after rent/cable/Internet/electricity...I have no way to afford to go shopping! Oh well I guess I have enough stuff! But now I just think well i guess I don't have to pay anymore bills 'till August.
Vacation at Okoboji was great, I didn't go out on the boat much, but I didn't mind just sitting around the cabin and chilling out, not worrying about a thing! I think I put a lot of time playing with Allison. This year was the 1st year I actually was up there for more than 2 days, but Unfortunately I still had homework to dread and take time to do during the week, Let me tell you being on vacation and trying to do homework umm equals me not doing so good on the homework/quizzes! Too distracted! My favorite thing about the week was everynite sitting around a fire...If I could I would sit around a fire every night! It's relaxing, but I do enjoy it with the family especially when everyone is cracking jokes! I've told quite a few people the jokes that were said that night, they are just so funny! So on the last night I would be there on Friday was when I didn't want to go back home, I wanted vacation to last longer! But to my mistake I would want it to be cut short the next morning. About midnight on friday I got a horrible headache which led to my body aching..So the next morning when we are supposed to be getting ready to go home, my head is pounding I didn't want to get up and nothing was getting rid of this pain! So I attempted to get my stuff together which led me to get nauseated, and after a trip to the bathroom I knew something was wrong. A call to mom to tell her and I was back on the bed laying down! The ride back home consisted of me sleeping all the way and waking up to my headache being gone, until I got out of the car and started walking around and it came right back. So I went to my room and fell asleep again, Unfortunately I missed the wedding, but I slept for 6 hours during the day and woke up still a lil uneasy but by the end of the night it was gone! I'm doing much better now, But I weirdly still get some headaches every so often.I really hope I don't start having migraines. Maybe a trip to the chiro will help me out!

So now its a new week, which means more school work, time to figure out when to work, and to see Jon and Heidi off on weds and possibly be taking Emily and Allison home! I think It should be a relaxing week I'll go back home on Tuesday and spend time with the family before everyone leaves. I must say it is weird having everyone home expect for chuck. But having Jon and Emily home at the same time...hmm sibling love! It's crazy how much we have grown up! I remember when we were younger and they would pick on me, MEANIES well wait...they still do pick on me but not like they did back then, (I think you guys know what i mean cough*simba*cough) But it's good to have Jon and Heidi home and then of course Emily and Allison....I think I have about 100 photos of Allison on my new phone already:)

Wow I really like to ramble, so for all you blog readers out there I hope you had fun with this one...But for the sudden stop of rambling, my tummy just growled and I want food, so indeed I am going to feed that stomach of mine! I will TRY TRY to keep blogging...but I don't have a lot of interesting things that happen to me like some of you! Hope you all have a good week!!!

Oh got to love summer!

Hey hey everyone, So I thought I would finally blog again, plus Emily keeps nagging me to do so ;) soo here I am blogging yet again! I can't believe that June will be wrapping up soon, I feel like the summer is going so fast before I know it school will be here!! AHH I don't wanna go back!:( So I haven't been up to too much this summer. I'm having difficulties finding a job that I want or where people are hiring, I did in fact work though for a couple weeks as a housekeeper at a Super 8 in vermillion....BAD IDEA, I hated it, sooo dirty YUCK and it wasn't working out because I didn't have a set schedule, she would call me at night and say she would need me to work the next day...Soo goodbye to that job, so now I'm lookin around surrounding towns, but I think I'm goin to just go work for Dad on the farm, he seems like he would like the help..So what consists of my day? Well I don't really know but somehow I stay busy, usually I like to sleep in but I've been up at 6:30 for the past week! Soo I usually have the whole day to do anything. I like to go home alot and see ma and pa and go swimming, especially when its REALLY hott! And I'v been hanging out with friends alot lately, figured I use the free-time wisely!

So nothing has really been new with me that much. But one thing that is different is that I'm cooking alot more lately, and actually sitting at my table and eating like we should! But I must say I really enjoy it, and its even better if someone is there eating with you cause you can converse and they can tell you how much of good cook you are even though I am just learning! Ha!
So this week is just a chill week, going to go home and visit mom and dad. And then next week I'll be up at the lakes on Tuesday morning and should be there the whole time, I might have to run back to vermillion for a day but it shouldn't be that bad! I'm soo excited to see everyone, and have a good time at Okoboji, I hear its going to be a hott one soo I think I'll be in the water A LOT! plus i gotta work on my tan a lil more! Well I think I am done rambling on about a whole lot of nothing! So I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! And I can't wait to see you all next week!! Woot Woot!

Happy Birthday!

Soo its May 21st...today is a big day...well maybe not for us humans, but it is for a little mouse named Mickey! You remember him? That little baby mouse that dad found out in the bricks and thought it would be funny to show me and mom..Well instead me and mom wanted to try to keep it a while..It was maybe only a day or 2 old...Just a cute little thing...Well today Mickey is 1 year old and still kicking! Usually people say the mice don't last that long, especially a field mouse...But i think mickey is far from being a field mouse..He's quite the little guy...He is though a gimb, he got hurt back when we found him and his back legs dont work that well, But it's nice how strong he has gotten over the year! But hey my mom and sister are here and we are going to go shopping now! Yay!! Soo I'm off for the day!!! Have a good one and remember Mickey for the day:) causes he's old!!

It's Been Awhile!!

Okay wow, its May 19th and I haven't posted a blog since March...Sorry to everyone who keeps looking to see if there is an update!! I thought I forgot my password, or something was going wrong, so I was reading Emily's blog and thought well heck let's give it a try again, and well BAM I must have typed the right password this time! ANYWAYS....Soo whats the download of my life, if only you could download a video of whats been going on for the past 3 months! WOW!

Well School is over! Thank God, and now I'm having a nice 2 week break before I start summer session, Ugh why do I push myself to take classes during the summer..(Who does that!?) I finished out my sophomore year at University of South Dakota...I must say it wasn't that horrible, even though back during Christmas I was wanting to transfer, and yet it still crosses my mind.. I like the school (sort of) but the area is just so dead. I think my days where I didn't have school work consisted of sitting around, watching movies or tv...or TRYING to find something to do in this lil' town...or we try to get enough money together to pay for gas and get out of Vermillion and go to Sioux City of Sioux Falls..oh what fun trips....So right now I'm trying to get caught up with classes for my major..I switched to Businness Management in Jan. and I'm trying to pull ahead so I can get accepted into B-School in Fall '08..I might be pushing it a little bit...and I guess the schools really hard to get into :S So I'm also nervous! Anyways I finished out a tough semester and I'm hoping things will go better this summer and next! ENOUGH BOUT SCHOOL!! Now to the good stuff.

On May 11th, I moved out of my tiny dorm room...boxed piled high of random junk. (i didn't know one person could have so much stuff in a little space, and I had a room to myself). I was preparing all my packing to go about a mile down the road to my very 1st apartment!! YAY! I'm living on my own Woot Woot...oh wait....bills...rent...no cable...cant afford it...haha...no it's not that bad, I like having my own place..I feel very homey already. I'm living in a one bedroom apartment by myself..and its quite nice!! Soo here are some pictures for those you like to see visuals!!

Home Sweet Home

Soo it's finally Friday and I'm SOO happy this week is over! It's been so stressful! Late nights of homework, getting up early! No sleep at all!! So I'm glad that I'll be getting to sleep in tomorrow!! And let me remind you I get to sleep in a totally comfortable bed compared to my futon I sleep on at school! Yes I'm home, but only to be seeing ma & pa for a day...while they get to go off and have fun in the nice warm sun, down south...while I'm here...Watching the house and the dogs....and truckin' back and forth to school everyday...Definetely not bad though because here I have a kitchen, good food, a comfy bed....and soft water for a shower OR BATH! Talk about luxury for me :) It might get a lil lonely so one of my friends might get lucky and be in a luxury place with me....(plus living out in the middle of the no-where....dark....noises....ya im a chicken sometimes. I hear we are supposed to get some rain storms...so even scarier cause the TV might go out and I will have nothing to listen to or darkness AHH :S) haha.....Neways I'm pretty excited to be home and staying for 9 days since mom and dad wont be back till NEXT monday! Oh and might I mention lots of TV and movies will be watched this week...but then again I ALWAYS watch movies when i have the free time....Maybe i should become a movie critiquer<--spelling.....I got home tonight and dad was out burning the grass along the fence line, so me and mom went out and helped him cause the fire got a little out of hand!! soo we had to go and get it out! I think I got burnt lol my face is a lil red!! Soo i stayed out for awhile and road the 4-wheeler and watched to make sure the fire stayed in the fence-line...I forgot how beautiful it is here!! It was soo nice out here the weather is soo beautiful!!!!
Well i can smell the food mom is cooking YUM YUM soo im heading off!!

March Madness

So as we all know March Madness is going on, not only basketball for me, but just school in general is madness!! Although the basketball scene has been entertaining me this weekend, I don't watch men's but women's hoops just started this weekend and I have a friend that plays on the USD bball team and we just sat in here all night watching games and highlights, and multitasking....of course tryin to finish a procrasnitated assingment or last minute cram for her case. March started out kind of hectic, I was excited to finally start my spring break on the 2nd...but to my dismay the 1st came with snow and I ended up being stranded at school for 3 days before I could make it home, which let me remind you it was only 20 minutes away! But I was thankful to no be by myself, a lot of my friends were still here, we had late night movies, and one night we had fun playing poker and then a fire alarm went off and we had to go out and play in the snow! When I finally got home I turned around and headed down to Kansas City to take Emily and Allison home and spent half my spring break there! it was very enjoyable, I love spending time with Emily and Allison and I even got to babysit for a morning!

After leaving Kansas City I went back to Ma and Pa's house to just relax for the couple days I had leave back for school. And thats where it leads me to now, I've been back to school for a week and its already stressful, had 2 tests last week and I start having more tests and interviews this week! Oh midterms....As many of you probably don't know I changed my major this semseter and I am now studying for a Business Management w/ a specialization in Marketing and keeping my spanish minor. It's quite a journey, this time I'm already scheduling classes for next fall and choosing what classes I'm taking this summer, trying to get ahead of myself, maybe I do that too much! Anyways I'm totally rambling for my 1st blog and its late and I need sleep! So sorry for all the mumble jumble, but I'll try to keep updated with everyone since I don't get to see everyone as much as I would like to, as we probably all feel.
